Why does each state have a separate deadline?
Many states plan their state contests and deadlines around their state Arbor Day celebrations. Different states have different Arbor Days, due to the variation in optimal tree planting times.

What are the requirements for the poster contest artwork?
All requirements to participate in the poster contest can be found on our rules page.
How many posters can I submit from my school?
Only one poster can be submitted from each school. Select the poster that best fits the theme and fits all the criteria.
Can other groups, such as home schools and kids’ clubs participate?
Other groups can participate in the poster contest. However, students who submit artwork must be in the fifth grade and only one winning poster from each club or home school association is allowed.
When will the winners be announced?
National winners will be officially announced on April 30, 2010 (National Arbor Day). The top three winners will be contacted prior to that date.
Why doesn’t my state participate in the National Arbor Day Poster Contest?
Your state does not currently have a state coordinator. Each state must have a state coordinator in order to participate. We are currently working to secure coordinators for those states without them.
